Natsume Sōseki

He is best known for his novels ''Kokoro'', ''Botchan'', ''I Am a Cat'', ''Kusamakura'' and his unfinished work ''Light and Darkness''. He was also a scholar of British literature and writer of haiku, ''kanshi'' poetry and fairy tales.
